Surprising Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar:
Adds Volume and Shine to Hair: In a separate container (an empty shampoo bottle works great) mix ½ cup of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) with 1 cup warm water. As a final rinse before getting out of the shower, pour the ACV and water mixture over your hair (no need to rinse it out). Do this 2 to 3 times per week for amazing results. Because ACV balances the pH levels of our skin it can help eliminate dandruff as well.
Age spots: With a cotton ball or cotton swab soaked with Apple Cider Vinegar, dab brown age/liver spot(s) every night before you go to sleep without rinsing it off. You may feel a stinging sensation. If this is uncomfortable, dilute the vinegar with water. Wash and rinse in the morning.
Ease itching: Apple Cider Vinegar can get rid of itchy painful areas from bug bites, poison ivy, dry skin, etc., for you and your pets. Apply diluted Apple Cider Vinegar directly to your itchy area (1 part ACV to 1 part water). For pets, I recommend using a diluted solution of ACV mixed with luke warm water. Pour solution into a spray bottle and gently spray onto their coats working into the skin. ACV also works as a flea repellent.
Fertilizer & Weed Killer: Apple Cider Vinegar can be used as fertilizer, especially for plants that love acids such as: Azaleas, Blueberry Bushes, Gardenias, Holly, Rhododendrons and Shrubs. ACV is also a great, non-toxic weed killer. Spray or Pour ACV directly on weed-infested areas. Mix one part Apple Cider Vinegar with 10 parts of water to fertilize soil.
Odor Remover: Pour Apple Cider Vinegar into a shallow bowl and place it near the location where the odor is strongest and let it sit to absorb odor from the room.
Skin Tag & Wart Remover: Clean the area around the skin tag or wart. Take a small cotton ball and soak it in Apple Cider Vinegar. Place the soaked cotton ball over the skin tag or wart and secure it with a band aid overnight. Change the ACV soaked cotton ball daily. After one week, the wart will start to peel off until it is completely removed. You may want to continue this treatment for another few days after the wart has been removed to make sure it doesn’t return.
Soothe sunburns: Add one cup of Apple Cider Vinegar to bath water and then soak for a minimum of 10 minutes to ease sunburn pain.
Soothes aching feet: Add one cup Apple Cider Vinegar into a large foot tub and fill with warm water to soothe aching feet. Soaking in warm water with Apple Cider Vinegar also helps eliminate foot fungus, foot odor and athlete’s foot.
Stain Remover for Teeth: Pour Apple Cider Vinegar onto your toothbrush, brush teeth directly and then rinse with water.
Wishing you a happy & healthy July!!
All the best,
